Rui Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Regis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Vianna in the 19th minute of play forced Lanús's goalkeeper Alvaro Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Laureano Pelayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lanús's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lanús's Laureano Pelayo got a free kick in the 26th minute. When Moises Tercero fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lanús's protests and gave Moises Tercero a yellow card for diving instead. Moises Tercero kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Marquez in the 30th minute of play forced Lanús's goalkeeper Alvaro Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C booed when Lanús was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Tercero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Alvaro Regis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Lenílson Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenílson Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Regis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Lanús booed when UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's Vladimir Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Pelayo in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Rui Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Fernandinho Vianna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Regis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Lenílson Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenílson Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldo Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 67 minutes, Fernandinho Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Vianna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's goalkeeper Vladimir Donato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laureano Pelayo. Pablo Corderro's late challenge caught a UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pablo Corderro helped the player get up and apologised. Fernandinho Vianna struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Alvaro Regis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C. Rui Marquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Regis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Marquez ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laureano Pelayo got free with Vladimir Donato in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute, Fernandinho Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alvaro Regis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Vianna in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lanús's zone, Lenílson Camargo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Regis came out of the goal and Lenílson Camargo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 played minutes Lanús got a freekick which was hit by Moises Tercero. 96 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Guedes notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Lanús's Alvaro Regis. Alvaro Regis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C fully deserved thier win.
