Carolo Rocendo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simon Lucado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Regis having to interfere. In the 16th minute Moises Tercero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Federigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Lanús's Laureano Pelayo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lanús's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Willy Brown FC the free kick. Alvaro Regis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carolo Rocendo in the 30th minute. Remigio Franco's late challenge caught a Lanús's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remigio Franco helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes Willy Brown FC got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Franco. Gualterio Federigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Pelayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lanús's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
