Bogdan Ionițoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Şumălan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basarab Patriciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Gliga, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 26 minutes into the match, UFC Veseud's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Şumălan came free, but Bogdan Ionițoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juventus PTM were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after UFC Veseud's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dacian Muncelean took the corner. Ivan Şumălan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogdan Ionițoiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Juventus PTM's Calistrat Trifu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bogdan Ionițoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 44th match minute, Juventus PTM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gheorghe Brezeanu to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Juventus PTM were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Şumălan was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the UFC Veseud defense, Ivan Şumălan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bogdan Ionițoiu. The UFC Veseud fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bogdan Ionițoiu should have stopped the shot. Gheorghe Brezeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelian Gologan in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basarab Patriciu saved Juventus PTM from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Juventus PTM's Dacian Muncelean got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 72nd match minute, Juventus PTM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calistrat Trifu to maneuver through the defense. Bogdan Ionițoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calistrat Trifu in the 85th minute. Calistrat Trifu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Bogdan Ionițoiu made a huge save. In the 96th minute Gheorghe Brezeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Ionițoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Juventus PTM could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than UFC Veseud throughout the match.
