Independiente and the Fair Play Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Enver Panev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Fox having to interfere. Julian Dillard kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Cristobal Fox stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrag Slaveski's shot from short distance in the 36th minute.

After 54 played minutes Fair Play Club got a freekick which was hit by Florian Mena. After a defensive mix-up in Fair Play Club's zone, Roy Huston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danail Todorovič came out of the goal and Roy Huston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, C. A. Independiente's Chad Carrier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danail Todorovič made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roy Huston during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C. A. Enver Panev did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Cristobal Fox 70 minutes into the match. Risto Gerasimovski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match.
