In the 5th minute, FC Hans's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tomás Cerqueira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 7th minute, Patrício Poças left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garanhão do SUL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, FC Hans's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Cerqueira came free, but Kurt Mager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Mager made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Lobo in the 12th minute of play. Birger Josefsson hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Gonçalo Lobo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kurt Mager. The goal made the score 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Lobo in the 21st minute of play forced FC Hans's goalkeeper Kurt Mager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo Lobo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 30th match minute, FC Hans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Hermansson to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, FC Hans's goalkeeper Kurt Mager had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrício Poças. Raimundo Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Åke Lundgren in the 43rd minute of the match. Garanhão do SUL's Raimundo Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Lundgren in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Eric Hermansson made the kick off in the second half. Tomás Cerqueira took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kurt Mager. Kurt Mager dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 54 played minutes FC Hans got a freekick which was hit by Eric Hermansson. Jörn Ekeberg hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Patrício Poças received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Kurt Mager tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Karl-Johan Bagge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gonçalo Lobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garanhão do SUL's Silvério Sabrosa was substituted for Patrício Poças. Kurt Mager didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonçalo Lobo went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 78 minutes into the game, Tomás Cerqueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Kurt Mager was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomás Cerqueira scored 7-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kurt Mager, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Tomás Cerqueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kurt Mager was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, FC Hans's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Sabrosa came free, but Kurt Mager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Hans's Kurt Mager played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Sabrosa in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Cerqueira in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Hans's goalkeeper Kurt Mager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Hans's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
