The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jastreb's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. After recieving a nice pass, Ypiranga FC's Joaquim Coutinho tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Zdravko Krstinić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Jastreb's Bojan Predan got a free kick in the 9th minute. Zlatko Sokola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Ypiranga FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Njegoslav Bakšaj scored to the left of an out of position Ronaldão Ceresso, making the score, 2-1. Ronaldão Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Njegoslav Bakšaj in the 42nd minute of play. Ronaldão Ceresso made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Bojan Predan sent off a good shot on target. Ypiranga FC's Ronaldão Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Njegoslav Bakšaj in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Ypiranga FC's goalkeeper Ronaldão Ceresso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bojan Predan. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bojan Predan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd play minute Joaquim Coutinho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zlatko Sokola. 3-2. Bojan Predan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ronaldão Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldão Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Njegoslav Bakšaj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Njegoslav Bakšaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Ceresso having to interfere. Zdravko Krstinić kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Bojan Predan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Ronaldão Ceresso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Zdravko Krstinić fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jastreb's protests and gave Zdravko Krstinić a yellow card for diving instead. Zdravko Krstinić kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Jastreb's goalkeeper Zlatko Sokola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Coutinho. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jastreb fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ypiranga FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
