Călin Barbosu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marin Puric's late challenge caught a Sport Club Mavericks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marin Puric helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Marin Puric hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Raureni Academy booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cazimir Traian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Prado having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Costică Popa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeu Prado. That made the score 1-1 in the 11 minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Dráusio Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Călin Barbosu. Raureni Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dráusio Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Călin Barbosu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Santos in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Zézinho Neto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Călin Barbosu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codruț Giurcă in the 30th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Amadeu Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Raureni Academy's Panait Voina got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute Zézinho Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Barbosu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Marin Puric hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Dráusio Santos notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Raureni Academy's Călin Barbosu. Călin Barbosu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Călin Barbosu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costică Popa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Amadeu Prado made a huge save. Călin Barbosu came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Club Mavericks's Dráusio Santos. But to his dismay, Dráusio Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Sport Club Mavericks made a substitution. Alfredão Mesquita replaced Téo Guimarães. The Raureni Academy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sport Club Mavericks were winning 1-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petrică Tărău to strike the kick off in the second half. Marin Puric hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Costică Popa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Augusto Marquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Călin Barbosu made a huge save. After 61 played minutes Raureni Academy got a freekick which was hit by Costică Popa. After 63 played minutes Raureni Academy got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Giurcă. The long shot by Pedro Augusto Marquez in the 63rd minute really tested Călin Barbosu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 65 minutes into the game, Raureni Academy's Cazimir Traian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeu Prado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. Călin Barbosu was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Dito Ferraz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dito Ferraz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-8. Petrică Tărău kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. A collision led to Raureni Academy getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Codruț Giurcă hit a great ball. Sport Club Mavericks's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
