The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 70th minute, Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Furman De la Torre was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Furman De la Torre was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. If Steven Fortis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Monitor Huáscar's Pagomari Portilla got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Monitor Huáscar's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
