The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xaver Imaz during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Xavieon Acenero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Ottevaere, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the game, FC Gullegem's Arthur Ottevaere nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xavieon Acenero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Zeruko Matanza's late challenge caught a FC Gullegem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeruko Matanza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Zeruko Matanza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Gullegem's Ive De Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save FC Gullegem from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Juventud Valiosa booed when FC Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederik Van Hoeyvelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Cederique Dhondt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, FC Gullegem's Octavian Verduyckt seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Octavian Verduyckt the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Gullegem protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Octavian Verduyckt had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of FC Gullegem:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Juventud Valiosa:s goal. When Hendrik Van Hoeij fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Gullegem's protests and gave Hendrik Van Hoeij a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes FC Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Hendrik Van Hoeij. Zuzen Taran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ive De Meyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arthur Ottevaere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. FC Gullegem's Ive De Meyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeruko Matanza in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute Cuero Fias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ive De Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arthur Ottevaere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ive De Meyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeruko Matanza in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 minutes FC Gullegem's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cuero Fias who took care of the corner kick. Darío Dorrego was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Arthur Ottevaere received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Xavieon Acenero came out and tried to block the shot, but Arthur Ottevaere slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 82nd minute. Tuur Weygaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavieon Acenero having to interfere. Arthur Ottevaere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darío Dorrego hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Gullegem eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
