A collision led to Girona FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Unai De la Torre hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Showtime FC's Amador Pagomari got a free kick in the 8th minute. Toni Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melquiades Sanduru in the 12th minute. After 18 minutes of play, Girona FC's Orlondo Tormes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonides Lugo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the match, Orlondo Tormes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonides Lugo. Showtime FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlondo Tormes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. David Jacindo charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Jacindo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonides Lugo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arxel Pareja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Reynaldo Gimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Lugo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Gonzalez hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Leonides Lugo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arxel Pareja went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Girona FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Melquiades Sanduru scored to the left of an out of position Toni Vera, making the score, 2-4. The Showtime FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Girona FC were winning 2-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Gimenez made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Gimenez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Leonides Lugo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 55th match minute, Showtime FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Cerilo to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes Showtime FC got a freekick which was hit by Justo Cerilo. Justo Cerilo charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justo Cerilo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Girona FC made a substitution. Leizarraga Campomanes replaced Sebastián Maroto. Girona FC's Andresito Paredes was substituted for Arxel Pareja. The supporters of Girona FC booed when Showtime FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Cerilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Showtime FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Reynaldo Gimenez scored to the left of an out of position Leonides Lugo, making the score, 2-6. Orlondo Tormes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leonides Lugo came out and tried to block the shot, but Orlondo Tormes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-8 in the 79th minute. Toni Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Sanduru in the 84th minute of the match. David Jacindo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute of the match, Andresito Paredes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leonides Lugo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Although Showtime FC had been in control for most of the match, Girona FC still came away with the win.
