Handley Krause in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Afiq Hongyi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 13th minute, Boyd Mcgirr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boyd Mcgirr's late challenge caught a 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boyd Mcgirr helped the player get up and apologised. 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 made a substitution. Afiz Ching replaced Arif Kool. After a rather tough play, Leeton United FC's Boyd Mcgirr got a free kick in the 18th minute. Rudolph Jackson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Hock, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alam Chan was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Bruce Roach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leeton United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 61st minute, Bruce Roach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Roach in the 65th minute of play forced 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's goalkeeper Afiq Hongyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sean Yip came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Yip couldn't finish the play. After having played for 89 minutes, Jithu Low managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jithu Low was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Leeton United FC defense, Alam Chan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rudolph Jackson. The Leeton United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rudolph Jackson should have stopped the shot. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
