The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes The Alliance got a freekick which was hit by Jon Nordstedt. 4 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico's Epifanio Orkatz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to The Alliance getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Mikael Österberg hit a great ball. Maximilian Almqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Orkatz in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Epifanio Orkatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximilian Almqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Barrilete Cósmico's Venancio Bitxintxo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Venancio Bitxintxo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Barrilete Cósmico protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Venancio Bitxintxo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Luciano Azeari had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Anton Biörk's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Anton Biörk did an outstanding performance 21 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-0 to the right of an irritated Luciano Azeari in the goal. If Epifanio Orkatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Epifanio Orkatz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Maximilian Almqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jon Nordstedt hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jonatan Cuarto hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Dag Wallengren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Luciano Azeari made a huge save. Dag Wallengren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Luciano Azeari skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dag Wallengren in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luciano Azeari saved Barrilete Cósmico from getting behind. If Amador Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Dag Wallengren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luciano Azeari was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 71st minute Anton Biörk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Azeari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Dag Wallengren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Axel Lundkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Luciano Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Azeari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dag Wallengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th match minute, The Alliance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Lundkvist to maneuver through the defense. Anton Biörk hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The supporters of The Alliance booed when Barrilete Cósmico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Tauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Axel Lundkvist came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the The Alliance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Lundkvist couldn't finish the play. Jon Nordstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Alliance fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barrilete Cósmico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
