Mauro Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Josef Tolsson made a huge save. Tony Lang kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Mauro Pombal lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Josef Tolsson. If Mauro Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olívio Abraão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Verner Alkvist went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, Francis Lefevre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tony Lang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Inter Gala getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ricardinho de Souza hit a great ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Verner Alkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polly Magoo Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Verner Alkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Pombal got free with Josef Tolsson in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Figueiredo in the 46th minute of play forced Polly Magoo Juniors's goalkeeper Josef Tolsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josef Tolsson made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Ricardinho de Souza sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Verner Alkvist was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Polly Magoo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Lennartsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute Mauro Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joar Vallengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Abraão having to interfere. Tales Alvarenga charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tales Alvarenga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th match minute, Inter Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute Verner Alkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardinho de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 88 minutes, Armandinho Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter Gala and the Polly Magoo Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Inter Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armandinho Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Olívio Abraão made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Fabian Näfver sent off a good shot on target. Olívio Abraão was a little too slow when Verner Alkvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 1-2.
