Rolf Pettersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico de Brito in the 9th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, Chico de Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Rolf Pettersson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 14th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Magnus Lilja hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The long shot by Eusébio Magalhães in the 20th minute really tested Rolf Pettersson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 23 minutes into the game, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Vicente Chaves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolf Pettersson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Vinícius Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Forsell in the 29th minute of play. Chico de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Pettersson having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chico de Brito in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolf Pettersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 46 minutes, Albin Hammarberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fusk&Bygg AB and the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albin Hammarberg hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Renatinho Linhares was substituted for Chico de Brito. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube made a substitution. Ian Abreu replaced Vicente Chaves.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Ferm to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Fusk&Bygg AB's Albin Hammarberg got a free kick in the 55th minute. Fusk&Bygg AB's Rolf Pettersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Magalhães in the 57th minute of play. Rolf Pettersson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renatinho Linhares went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. When Tarcisio Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's protests and gave Tarcisio Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. Tarcisio Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Rolf Pettersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolf Pettersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Linhares in the 77th minute of play forced Fusk&Bygg AB's goalkeeper Rolf Pettersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fusk&Bygg AB's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eusébio Magalhães was slow to take the kick. During this time Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Fernandão de Amaral managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 84 minutes into the game, Renatinho Linhares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Rolf Pettersson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th match minute, Fusk&Bygg AB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Fagrell to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Fusk&Bygg AB's zone, Renatinho Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Pettersson came out of the goal and Renatinho Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 97th minute, Inge Forsell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fully deserved thier win.
