Firmo Tigero's late challenge caught a BK Tåfjutt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Firmo Tigero helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to R.B Leipzig getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Firmo Tigero hit a great ball. After 14 played minutes R.B Leipzig got a freekick which was hit by Firmo Tigero. After 15 minutes, Jimmie Kilberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Tåfjutt and the R.B Leipzig players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, BK Tåfjutt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmie Kilberg to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Kurt Pilblad successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kristian Fransson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pelagius Cofresi having to interfere. After 31 played minutes R.B Leipzig got a freekick which was hit by Vellito Terrilla. 32 minutes into the match, BK Tåfjutt's Kristian Fransson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pelagius Cofresi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jimmie Kilberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pelagius Cofresi having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Firmo Tigero made the kick off in the second half. Jimmie Kilberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pelagius Cofresi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, R.B Leipzig's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Fransson came free, but Pelagius Cofresi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pelagius Cofresi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimmie Kilberg's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. If Vellito Terrilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pelagius Cofresi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmie Kilberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, BK Tåfjutt's goal looked a bit too open when Firmo Tigero came free, but Kurt Pilblad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tonete Manjaleguas kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Donatello Beyzania hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. BK Tåfjutt's Kristian Fransson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Pelagius Cofresi but with some difficulty. 71 minutes into the match, BK Tåfjutt's goal looked a bit too open when Firmo Tigero came free, but Kurt Pilblad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimmie Kilberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pelagius Cofresi having to make a save. Pelagius Cofresi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristian Fransson in the 75th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes R.B Leipzig got a freekick which was hit by Donatello Beyzania. BK Tåfjutt's Kurt Pilblad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Firmo Tigero in the 80th minute of play. When Albert Skröder fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BK Tåfjutt's protests and gave Albert Skröder a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of R.B Leipzig booed when BK Tåfjutt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Skröder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Sundström kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Kurt Pilblad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Firmo Tigero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Albert Skröder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 91 minutes, Vellito Terrilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. R.B Leipzig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vellito Terrilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. R.B Leipzig had won after a very even match.
