The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Firmo Tigero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Janusz Giejda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. FC SZAFIRY's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Firmo Tigero 4 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Janusz Giejda was a little too slow when Firmo Tigero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 2-0. After 10 played minutes FC SZAFIRY got a freekick which was hit by Radowit Gdaniec. Firmo Tigero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Janusz Giejda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 16 played minutes R.B Leipzig got a freekick which was hit by Donatello Beyzania. After 23 minutes, Firmo Tigero made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC SZAFIRY's Janusz Giejda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Firmo Tigero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Janusz Giejda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tonete Manjaleguas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Janusz Giejda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Firmo Tigero managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.B Leipzig's supporters rose to their feet, but Firmo Tigero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Janusz Giejda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FC SZAFIRY getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Radowit Gdaniec hit a great ball. Janusz Giejda came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by R.B Leipzig's Firmo Tigero. But to his dismay, Firmo Tigero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The supporters of R.B Leipzig booed when FC SZAFIRY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Bejgier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Donatello Beyzania managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. R.B Leipzig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donatello Beyzania was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Janusz Giejda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Firmo Tigero's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 61 minutes, Ludomil Augustyniak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC SZAFIRY and the R.B Leipzig players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Ludomil Augustyniak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, R.B Leipzig's Firmo Tigero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Janusz Giejda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Firmo Tigero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janusz Giejda was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. 67 minutes into the game, Firmo Tigero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Janusz Giejda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 75 played minutes FC SZAFIRY got a freekick which was hit by Marcin Rekowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firmo Tigero in the 79th minute of play forced FC SZAFIRY's goalkeeper Janusz Giejda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th match minute, FC SZAFIRY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludomil Augustyniak to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Firmo Tigero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janusz Giejda was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 86th minute, Firmo Tigero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute Firmo Tigero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janusz Giejda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Firmo Tigero in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Janusz Giejda saved FC SZAFIRY from getting behind. The supporters of R.B Leipzig booed when FC SZAFIRY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Dzerwucki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Donatello Beyzania hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. R.B Leipzig's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
