The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Cheetah Team's Karl-Åke Drake got a free kick in the 4th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Åke Drake during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cheetah Team getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Karl-Åke Drake hit a great ball. If Anastasio Lixandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bengt Ånger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Lixandro in the 9th minute of play. Rene Baleren hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the game, Christian Winström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isidoro Javiero. Christian Winström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Agne Bergfelt's late challenge caught a Celestiales's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agne Bergfelt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cheetah Team getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Agne Bergfelt hit a great ball. Bengt Ånger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Lixandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Celestiales got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Lixandro. Celestiales's Narciso Bladi challenged an opponent after 41 minutes. The hit was so bad that he suffered a foot injury. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Winström during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mark Malmberg's late challenge caught a Celestiales's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mark Malmberg helped the player get up and apologised. Fabio Munio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Siro Bonifaco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 68 minutes, Tord Jakobsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheetah Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tord Jakobsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 played minutes Celestiales got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Ferdinand. When Christian Winström came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Cheetah Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Winström couldn't finish the play. Celestiales's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
