In the 44th of the match, Gláuber Cardozo tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Luiz Monteiro got in the way and made a wonderful save. After a rather tough play, REAL VASCO RIO's Marcinho Velloso got a free kick in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Gláuber Cardozo made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gláuber Cardozo in the 54th managed to get into a good position.
