In the 9th minute, Gilvan Chaves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimir Schnyder was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Fire Devils's Vladimir Schnyder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson Messias in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Róbson Messias lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Vladimir Schnyder. Ronaldo Gol kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Vladimir Schnyder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbson Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 24 minutes, Róbson Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rockets's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbson Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Róbson Messias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vladimir Schnyder. That made the score 3-0 in the 26 minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Kleopas Boller put in a rough tackle. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fire Devils! Róbson Messias might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimir Schnyder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Róbson Messias ran back to his position shaking his head. Vladimir Schnyder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Messias in the 36th minute of play. When Róbson Messias came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Rockets fans jumped to their feet. Róbson Messias in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vladimir Schnyder, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fire Devils's Horace Feldmann got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horace Feldmann was the one to do the kick off. Billy Waller kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Horace Feldmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes Fire Devils got a freekick which was hit by Thaddäus Striner. Tales de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
