With a couple of smart ball manuevers Róbson Messias in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cătălin Simuţ saved Balavanis from getting behind. After 38 played minutes Balavanis got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Sângeorzan. Cătălin Simuţ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson Messias in the 41st minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorel Tărâţă to make the kick off. A collision led to Balavanis getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Dacian Macamete hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Acatincăi in the 86th minute of play forced Rockets's goalkeeper Benjamin Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when Aurelian Tilincă put in a rough tackle. In the 90th minute, one of Balavanis:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Balavanis. Cătălin Simuţ made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilvan Chaves in the 98th minute. The Rockets players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Balavanis from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
