Gigi Văcăroiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Emil Lunca made a huge save. When Claudiu Radovan came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the AFC Nirosxn 08 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Radovan couldn't finish the play. Cătălin Simuţ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Radovan in the 15th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes AFC Nirosxn 08 got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Şantău. Claudiu Radovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Simuţ having to interfere. Cătălin Simuţ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Toma in the 21st minute of the match. Balavanis's Cătălin Simuţ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Radovan in the 23rd minute of play. Gigi Văcăroiu hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Cătălin Simuţ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Radovan in the 34th minute of play. Cătălin Simuţ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Toma in the 36th minute of the match. Balavanis's Cătălin Simuţ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nae Josan in the 42nd minute of play. Cătălin Simuţ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Radovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Petruț Mironescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balavanis's supporters rose to their feet, but Petruț Mironescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Lunca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudiu Radovan was the one to do the kick off. Cătălin Simuţ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nae Josan in the 56th minute of the match. Claudiu Radovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Simuţ having to interfere. Emil Lunca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Floroiu in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Balavanis's goalkeeper Cătălin Simuţ had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudiu Radovan. After a rather tough play, Balavanis's Dacian Macamete got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Gigi Văcăroiu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. A collision led to Balavanis getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gigi Văcăroiu hit a great ball. Cătălin Simuţ acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 75th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sergiu Voiculescu. Cătălin Simuţ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudiu Radovan's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Claudiu Radovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Cătălin Simuţ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugen Basarab's late challenge caught a Balavanis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugen Basarab helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AFC Nirosxn 08's Eugen Basarab got a free kick in the 86th minute. With a little luck, Balavanis's Cătălin Simuţ got control of the ball when Claudiu Radovan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dorel Tărâţă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, AFC Nirosxn 08's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Tărâţă came free, but Emil Lunca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudiu Radovan made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 95thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Cătălin Simuţ would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AFC Nirosxn 08 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
