Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) S.S.C. NAPOLI's Angelo Mariotti started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, İlhan Mansız notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of S.S.C. NAPOLI's Carter Di Nino. Carter Di Nino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 8 minutes of play, Nevşehirspor's Recep Muhittin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carter Di Nino was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 12 minutes, İlhan Mansız made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Carter Di Nino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. İlhan Mansız received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Carter Di Nino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the S.S.C. NAPOLI defense, İlhan Mansız kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carter Di Nino. The S.S.C. NAPOLI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carter Di Nino should have stopped the shot. Paşa Candaner's late challenge caught a S.S.C. NAPOLI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paşa Candaner helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Nevşehirspor's Paşa Candaner got a free kick in the 21st minute. Angelo Mariotti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Volkan Demirel having to make a save. Volkan Demirel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciccio Moscatelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Carter Di Nino came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Nevşehirspor's İlhan Mansız. But to his dismay, İlhan Mansız quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 47th minute, Recep Muhittin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nevşehirspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. After the first half Nevşehirspor were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Recep Muhittin to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, S.S.C. NAPOLI's goal looked a bit too open when İlhan Mansız came free, but Carter Di Nino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İlhan Mansız couldn't finish the play. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Ciccio Moscatelli managed to work through Nevşehirspor's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ciccio Moscatelli dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 78 minutes into the game, Ateş Samih was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nevşehirspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.S.C. NAPOLI the free kick. In the 78th minute, Ateş Samih hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nevşehirspor made a substitution. Onuralp Kose replaced Paşa Candaner. In the 86th minute of the game Emilio Fioriti made a throw-in which Ferdinando Gentile played forward. Ahmet Ersal kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Volkan Demirel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciccio Moscatelli in the 94th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, İlhan Mansız took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Carter Di Nino to make any attempt to save it.
