When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Ben Moxon put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jesus Jacindo. After 11 played minutes EL CORTO FC got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Jorrin. When Ben Moxon came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Coventry Wasps fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Moxon couldn't finish the play. In the 15th match minute, EL CORTO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Benvide to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in EL CORTO FC's zone, Lewis Davey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Jacindo came out of the goal and Lewis Davey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ben Moxon sped through EL CORTO FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jesus Jacindo. Jesus Jacindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Moxon in the 25th minute of the match. When EL CORTO FC's Ricardo Tome, in the 27th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for EL CORTO FC. In the 29th minute, Ronnie Blakeley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Jacindo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 32nd match minute, Coventry Wasps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronnie Blakeley to maneuver through the defense. If Ben Moxon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lewis Davey during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Lewis Davey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesus Jacindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Moxon in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Coventry Wasps's Justin Shuttleworth was substituted for Ben Moxon. Coventry Wasps made a substitution. Greg Corcoran replaced Rick Arrowsmith. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Justin Shuttleworth made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Isidro Irrintzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EL CORTO FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coventry Wasps the free kick. EL CORTO FC's Jesus Jacindo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save EL CORTO FC from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute Baldomiro Javiero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Elwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, EL CORTO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Tome to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, Greg Corcoran recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jesus Jacindo. Greg Corcoran showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Jesus Jacindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greg Corcoran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th play minute Justin Shuttleworth came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jesus Jacindo. 0-6. Coventry Wasps's Dan Elwick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Javiero in the 73rd minute of play. With 76 minutes on the clock, Vicente Benvide commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 77th minute, Vicente Benvide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesus Jacindo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Greg Corcoran in the 78th minute. Jesus Jacindo came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Coventry Wasps's Greg Corcoran. But to his dismay, Greg Corcoran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. With his leg Jesus Jacindo managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Coventry Wasps's Justin Shuttleworth fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jesus Jacindo was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Greg Corcoran capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Greg Corcoran really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Jesus Jacindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Corcoran, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. With his leg Jesus Jacindo managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Coventry Wasps's Justin Shuttleworth fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Justin Shuttleworth struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Jesus Jacindo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coventry Wasps. When the final whistle sounded Coventry Wasps left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than EL CORTO FC.
