Ciprian Barboni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filipe Figueiredo went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 12 minutes into the match, Petru Vişoianu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percival de Queirós. Miau Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petru Vişoianu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 14 minutes into the game, FC Luck's Daniel Mitescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Percival de Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Filipe Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ciprian Barboni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miau Stars. In the 21st minute of the match Anderson Sena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciprian Barboni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Figueiredo in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Luck's goalkeeper Ciprian Barboni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes, Daniel Mitescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Luck and the Miau Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Daniel Mitescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Luck's Ciprian Barboni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Rocha in the 26th minute of play. When Filipe Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Miau Stars's protests and gave Filipe Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Miau Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maria Socorro in the 31st minute of play forced FC Luck's goalkeeper Ciprian Barboni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Miau Stars booed when FC Luck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vintilă Drăgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ciprian Barboni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciprian Barboni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maria Socorro in the 35th minute of play. Ciprian Barboni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mina Felina's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Miau Stars's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maria Socorro in the 38th minute. Vintilă Drăgan thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Ciprian Barboni, a very annoying self made goal in the 38th minute which led to 2-2. After a rather tough play, FC Luck's Petru Vişoianu got a free kick in the 42nd minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Mitescu to make the kick off. Maria Socorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costică Nanu took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Percival de Queirós. Percival de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Iulian Cangeopol hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 61 minutes, Nildo Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miau Stars and the FC Luck players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Miau Stars's Nildo Ribeiro got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 71 minutes of play, FC Luck's Daniel Mitescu made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Percival de Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Filipe Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Miau Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute Maria Socorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciprian Barboni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Filipe Figueiredo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciprian Barboni. That made the score 4-3 in the 90 minute of play. Miau Stars were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
