Miroslav Matis started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Tarnów™'s zone, Dušan Glenda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roch Napierkowski came out of the goal and Dušan Glenda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wit Zjawin in the 7th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Norberd Valentík to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tarnów™'s Roch Napierkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Záhoran in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Major during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Major hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Tarnów™ defense, Miroslav Matis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roch Napierkowski. The Tarnów™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roch Napierkowski should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wawrzyniec Olszewski got free with Norberd Valentík in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roland Záhoran hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Roch Napierkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Záhoran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Dušan Glenda hit a great ball. Ivan Girman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Napierkowski having to interfere. Tarnów™'s Wit Zjawin got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Hvižďák to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wit Zjawin made a kick off. Gabriel Vaško hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Wit Zjawin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Norberd Valentík tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roch Napierkowski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roland Záhoran showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 69 minute of play. After 74 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Dušan Glenda. The supporters of Tarnów™ booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Hvižďák didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Wit Zjawin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tarnów™ getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lukasz Kosakowski hit a great ball. When AFK Petržalka's Roland Záhoran in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 87th minute, Tarnów™'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Miroslav Matis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 93 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Vaško.
