The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Borges got free with Santo Jayaga in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th match minute, São Paulo Leste F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Borges to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Frank Borges got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. José Carlos Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Santo Jayaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ugaitz Oñate kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes, São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Hélio Tavares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santo Jayaga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in São Paulo Leste F.C. reached it. In the 18thth minute of the game Frank Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trescientos's Santo Jayaga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. León Bravo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Santo Jayaga acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 22nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mané Alvarenga. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of São Paulo Leste F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trescientos:s goal. The referee gave Trescientos a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mane Medrano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Nilton Varela. 0-1. Nilton Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Maria in the 42nd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Borges made a kick off. Genaro Maria's late challenge caught a São Paulo Leste F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Maria helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes Trescientos got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Maria. Vicente Viniambres hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. With a little luck, São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Nilton Varela got control of the ball when Vicente Viniambres tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Frank Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nilton Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Viniambres in the 67th minute. In the 69th match minute, Trescientos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ortíz Marquina to maneuver through the defense. Nilton Varela made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Vicente Viniambres sent off a good shot on target. José Carlos Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Jayaga having to interfere. Trescientos's Santo Jayaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Borges in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Trescientos's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Borges came free, but Santo Jayaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trescientos's Santo Jayaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Carlos Arantes in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute José Carlos Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Jayaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. São Paulo Leste F.C.'s Frank Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, Trescientos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Maria to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, José Carlos Arantes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santo Jayaga was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.
