The referee ignored Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's protests and gave Luís Fabiano Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Fabiano Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 12thth minute of the game Eduard Bacarreza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Carlinhos Pombal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mariachi FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Gredig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Mariachi FC booed when Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 played minutes Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Neves. A collision led to Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Juarês Baiano hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Francisco Alberto Epulef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlinhos Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Eduard Bacarreza made a precise shot to the right of Carlinhos Pombal. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 39th minute, Fernán Pereda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the game, Ismael Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mariachi FC the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduard Bacarreza in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlinhos Pombal saved Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa from getting behind. In the 47th match minute, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Domingues to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduard Bacarreza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléberson Neves during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kléberson Neves hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. A collision led to Mariachi FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Eduard Bacarreza hit a great ball. In the 61st minute of the match, Tales Vidal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cristiano Gredig was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 64thth minute of the game Eduard Bacarreza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Carlinhos Pombal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Mariachi FC's Fernán Pereda got a free kick in the 67th minute. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Tales Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the game, Mariachi FC's Patricio Blanch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlinhos Pombal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Eduard Bacarreza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Carlinhos Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Melgarejo in the 87th minute of play. After 89 minutes, Bertrán Peragallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariachi FC and the Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mariachi FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Bertrán Peragallo hit a great ball. Nereo Bolivar charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nereo Bolivar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa booed when Mariachi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Bolivar didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mariachi FC.
