The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Valle in the 20th minute of play forced Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Rubinho Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Nando Vieira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardo Brodel. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. Bernardo Brodel was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Nando Vieira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nando Vieira really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Oséias Aparecido lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Grêmio 20 Julho booed when Vingadores F.C U23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséias Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Brodel was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Nando Vieira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nando Vieira really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. With a little luck, Vingadores F.C U23's Bernardo Brodel got control of the ball when Felipe Breckenfeld tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felipe Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Bernardo Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vingadores F.C U23's Bernardo Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Rezende in the 45th minute of play. If Samuca Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Felipe Breckenfeld made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Grêmio 20 Julho's Nando Vieira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Brodel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 55 minutes into the game, Nelson Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Bernardo Brodel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 59th minute, Didi Secco made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo Brodel. Vingadores F.C U23's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Bernardo Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Didi Secco's late challenge caught a Vingadores F.C U23's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didi Secco helped the player get up and apologised. Didi Secco hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Nando Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Felipe Breckenfeld notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Vingadores F.C U23's Bernardo Brodel. Bernardo Brodel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th minute Felipe Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Felipe Breckenfeld left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio 20 Julho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Bernardo Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Rezende in the 93rd minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Grêmio 20 Julho fully deserved thier win.
