Maicon Branco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Angelo Celipe came out and tried to block the shot, but Maicon Branco slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 41st minute. Angelo Celipe was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Dida Dantas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dida Dantas really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maicon Branco to strike the kick off in the second half. Angelo Celipe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tití Clemenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Celipe came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Proteu's Waldemar Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Waldemar Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Geovani Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Celipe having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Maicon Branco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Angelo Celipe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Ipro Demiga Fútbol Club booed when Proteu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Proteu's Evandro Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Rafe in the 78th minute of play. Angelo Celipe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Proteu's Waldemar Cordeiro got a free kick in the 81st minute. Dario Abella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Evandro Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldemar Cordeiro hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Dida Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Proteu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
