Scott Best received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Nikolas Karkamanis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Thanasis Vamvoukas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the game, one of Atletico de Madrid:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Atletico de Madrid:s Nikolas Karkamanis showed great skill when he stopped Edmund Wallander:s penalty. Edmund Wallander scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nikolas Karkamanis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivar Fredriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolas Karkamanis having to interfere. Nikolas Karkamanis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Browald, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Nikolas Karkamanis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Fredriksson in the 18th minute of play. Scott Pass recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kostas Mourouzis kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Scott Best mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kopparmora BK and the Atletico de Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kopparmora BK's Scott Best got a free kick in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Atletico de Madrid's Dimitris Maros got a free kick in the 36th minute. Rune Browald scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nikolas Karkamanis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nikolas Karkamanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Browald in the 44th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rune Browald made a kick off. Göran Johnsson came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico de Madrid's Emmanouil Kalivas. But to his dismay, Emmanouil Kalivas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Kostas Papadatos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the game, one of Atletico de Madrid:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Kopparmora BK a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edmund Wallander, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atletico de Madrid's Nikolas Karkamanis. 1-3. After 69 played minutes Kopparmora BK got a freekick which was hit by Scott Best. Kopparmora BK's Göran Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitris Maros in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanasis Vamvoukas in the 74th minute of play forced Kopparmora BK's goalkeeper Göran Johnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kopparmora BK's Scott Pass got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Thanasis Vamvoukas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Göran Johnsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The Kopparmora BK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kopparmora BK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
