Alin Davidescu tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Costică Petran. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 10th minute. After 12 minutes, Douwe Gentenaar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sheep United and the UFC STEAUA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sheep United's Douwe Gentenaar got a free kick in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Gheorghe got free with Erik Kolman in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 17 played minutes UFC STEAUA got a freekick which was hit by Alin Davidescu. Costică Petran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douwe Gentenaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, UFC STEAUA's Nistor Fenici dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mugur Nisipeanu made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Ger Wielaert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Kolman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nistor Fenici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Emanuel Gheorghe came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the UFC STEAUA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Gheorghe couldn't finish the play.
