Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Rank 1's Philip Kleen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Manduca in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rank 1's goalkeeper Philip Kleen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 4 played minutes Rank 1 got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Hellström. Floriana Celtics were furious when Nigel Dingli was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 7th minute, Nigel Dingli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anthony Bigeni made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Harry Mellbad sent off a good shot on target. Ulf Ros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ulf Ros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anthony Bigeni came out and tried to block the shot, but Ulf Ros slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Simon Deguara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Floriana Celtics's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Deguara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Kleen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Pååk came free, but Anthony Bigeni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stefan Pååk came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Rank 1 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Pååk couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Rank 1's zone, Simon Deguara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Kleen came out of the goal and Simon Deguara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Ivan Zammit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Floriana Celtics's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Zammit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
Philip Kleen came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Floriana Celtics's Simon Deguara. But to his dismay, Simon Deguara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Simon Deguara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Philip Kleen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingvar Hellström kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rank 1's Ingvar Hellström got a free kick in the 71st minute. Simon Deguara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Philip Kleen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthony Bigeni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Pååk, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute John Bogren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Bigeni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes Floriana Celtics got a freekick which was hit by Simon Deguara. In the 79th match minute, Rank 1 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Mellbad to maneuver through the defense. Floriana Celtics's Steve Teuma Castelletti got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd match minute, Floriana Celtics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Zammit to maneuver through the defense. Floriana Celtics's Anthony Bigeni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Ros in the 88th minute of play. Per-Olof Utter kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Rank 1's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
