Fortun Quevedo's late challenge caught a S S Palestra Italia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fortun Quevedo helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atlético Ourense! The referee gave S S Palestra Italia a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Miguel Donatello, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Ourense's Pau Sánchez. 1-2. Atlético Ourense's Bertin Landa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eurico Reis, made in the 31st minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Remo da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huly Barberá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded S S Palestra Italia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético Ourense.
