Deportivo Iguazu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kjetil-André Bertelsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Benigno Sanduru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kjetil-André Bertelsen's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Deportivo Iguazu's Benigno Sanduru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjetil-André Bertelsen in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kjetil-André Bertelsen in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benigno Sanduru saved Deportivo Iguazu from getting behind. Benigno Sanduru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjetil-André Bertelsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee gave Laniakea a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ørjan Mong, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Deportivo Iguazu's Benigno Sanduru. 0-3. Freddy Orlan kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Benigno Sanduru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyrre Westerlund in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Laniakea booed when Deportivo Iguazu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Goiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Kjetil-André Bertelsen put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Benigno Sanduru. In the 45th minute, Brage Veum made a precise shot to the right of Benigno Sanduru. Deportivo Iguazu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The Deportivo Iguazu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Laniakea were winning 1-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnulfo Goiz to make the kick off. Deportivo Iguazu's Benigno Sanduru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjetil-André Bertelsen in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Laniakea's Søren Harnes got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Benigno Sanduru was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kjetil-André Bertelsen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 55 minute of play. Kjetil-André Bertelsen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benigno Sanduru came out and tried to block the shot, but Kjetil-André Bertelsen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 59th minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Kjetil-André Bertelsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laniakea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjetil-André Bertelsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute Brage Veum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Sanduru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjetil-André Bertelsen in the 65th minute of play forced Deportivo Iguazu's goalkeeper Benigno Sanduru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Sanduru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kyrre Westerlund in the 67th minute. Kjetil-André Bertelsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Deportivo Iguazu's goal looked a bit too open when Brage Veum came free, but Benigno Sanduru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had been going on for 91 minutes, Laniakea's Ørjan Mong got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benigno Sanduru. Laniakea's Kjetil-André Bertelsen got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
