Spectators: 163 (Terracing: 123, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sixto Guillelmus took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Gordon Alderson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Locura Académica's Santiago Guillelmo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ronan Conlon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Natal, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Alderson came free, but Santiago Guillelmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Gordon Alderson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 11 minutes, Gordon Alderson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smiddy Celts's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gordon Alderson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Jordan Hastings managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smiddy Celts's supporters rose to their feet, but Jordan Hastings was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Guillelmo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Locura Académica defense, Jordan Hastings kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santiago Guillelmo. The Locura Académica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Guillelmo should have stopped the shot. If Celedonio Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Celedonio Mundo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Smiddy Celts's Ronan Conlon. Ronan Conlon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, Smiddy Celts's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Natal came free, but Ronan Conlon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Alderson in the 30th minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Santiago Guillelmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Guillelmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Alderson in the 34th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Smiddy Celts got a freekick which was hit by Robbie McAdam. A collision led to Locura Académica getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Jonas Argider hit a great ball. Santiago Guillelmo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gordon Alderson went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Sixto Guillelmus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Locura Académica's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Guillelmus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronan Conlon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Smiddy Celts were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Jay Fleming got free with Santiago Guillelmo in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santiago Guillelmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gordon Alderson in the 59th minute of the match. If Jonas Argider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Smiddy Celts booed when Locura Académica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Jaizki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute Ciaran McGill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Guillelmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gordon Alderson struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Santiago Guillelmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smiddy Celts. Santiago Guillelmo came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Smiddy Celts's Gordon Alderson. But to his dismay, Gordon Alderson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After 82 minutes, Braulio Beliran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Locura Académica and the Smiddy Celts players grew even worse after the yellow card. Braulio Beliran kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Smiddy Celts's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 84th minute of the game, when James McRurie after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Locura Académica's goal. James McRurie was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Gordon Alderson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Guillelmo having to interfere. The supporters of Locura Académica booed when Smiddy Celts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. James McRurie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Sixto Guillelmus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Ronan Conlon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Locura Académica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Smiddy Celts's performance. The match ended with a win for Smiddy Celts.
