Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Mijdrecht Maffia's Michael Kuijsten started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Mijdrecht Maffia's Gertjan Theisens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Marcel Blanc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Mayo's Ben Alderson got control of the ball when Michael Kuijsten tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Mijdrecht Maffia booed when Mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dean Cheetham didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 minutes of play, Mijdrecht Maffia's Michael Kuijsten made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ben Alderson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the game, Michael Kuijsten recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ben Alderson. Michael Kuijsten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 23rd minute David Medley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rik Numan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, one of Mayo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mayo. Rik Numan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean Cheetham in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dean Cheetham in the 30th minute of play forced Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper Rik Numan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gertjan Theisens in the 33rd minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Ben Alderson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mayo's Tristram Winterburn got a free kick in the 36th minute. Michael Kuijsten took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ben Alderson. Ben Alderson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 40 minutes into the match, Michael Kuijsten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ben Alderson. Mayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michael Kuijsten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Medley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marick van Fessum charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marick van Fessum the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th minute, Marick van Fessum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Jens Spoel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Mayo defense, Twan Zoolingen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ben Alderson. The Mayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ben Alderson should have stopped the shot. Ben Alderson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Kuijsten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Blanc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Marick van Fessum had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ben Alderson. Mayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marick van Fessum was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. 80 minutes into the game, Mijdrecht Maffia's Michael Kuijsten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ben Alderson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. Ben Alderson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gertjan Theisens in the 84th minute of play. After 86 minutes, Marcel Blanc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mijdrecht Maffia and the Mayo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcel Blanc kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Mayo's Ben Alderson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Kuijsten in the 89th minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Mijdrecht Maffia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Blanc to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Mijdrecht Maffia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
