Luan Arce came out of the goal and Zeledon Quin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mazinho Mendes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elvio Galtero. That made the score 2-1 in the 34 minute of play. When Dráuzio Luz came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the México Eterno MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Luz couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Alessandro Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elvio Galtero was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Elvio Galtero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elvio Galtero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Israel Naldo to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Almir do Vale in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Galtero saved Forest Green from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, Forest Green's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Luz came free, but Elvio Galtero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir do Vale in the 58th minute of play forced Forest Green's goalkeeper Elvio Galtero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Colon kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 71st minute Dráuzio Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Galtero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 minutes of play, México Eterno MZC's Almir do Vale made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 77 played minutes Forest Green got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Aresti. Forest Green's Elvio Galtero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Prestes in the 80th minute of play. Dráuzio Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Elvio Galtero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Edmílson Prestes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elvio Galtero. Forest Green's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmílson Prestes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1.
