Dimas Rebelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Elvio Galtero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timóteo Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Quin, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 minutes of play, Forest Green's Israel Naldo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Timóteo Paredes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Timóteo Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Quin, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Forest Green's Zeledon Quin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Timóteo Paredes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 29th minute Zeledon Quin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timóteo Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Timóteo Paredes managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Forest Green's Israel Naldo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Algoso Warriors defense, Valentin Bihar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timóteo Paredes. The Algoso Warriors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timóteo Paredes should have stopped the shot. Tomas Sindo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Timóteo Paredes made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dimas Rebelo to make the kick off. Timóteo Paredes came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Forest Green's Tomas Sindo. But to his dismay, Tomas Sindo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. A collision led to Forest Green getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Zeledon Quin hit a great ball. Dalmacio Nabar charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalmacio Nabar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Dalmacio Nabar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Sacadura during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Forest Green booed when Algoso Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Sacadura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidio Grabiel hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Elvio Galtero made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Jorge Tinoco sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Algoso Warriors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Forest Green:s goal. Dalmacio Nabar got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 89 played minutes Forest Green got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Nabar. After 97 played minutes Algoso Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Juliano Soveral. After 98 played minutes, Forest Green's Israel Naldo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Timóteo Paredes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Forest Green reached it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Forest Green had played much better football throughout.
