Cláudio Madureira struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Reynaldo Argi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Micaelense. After 22 minutes Atlético Micaelense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonas Lucado who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jonas Lucado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Micaelense's Aldaír Carneiro did a great save. Santiago Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio Madureira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Reynaldo Argi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Atlético Micaelense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gastão Montenegro in the 32nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Gastão Montenegro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Reynaldo Argi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 35th minute, Elvio Gines got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justino Naelio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aldaír Carneiro having to make a save. Gastão Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Cosme Umea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Aldaír Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santiago Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Santiago Calvino made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Atlético Micaelense's Cláudio Madureira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Argi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 55 minutes, Elvio Gines mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reconquistense FC and the Atlético Micaelense players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Elvio Gines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Reconquistense FC's zone, Wilson Moutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Argi came out of the goal and Wilson Moutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Madureira in the 66th minute of play forced Reconquistense FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Argi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Modesto Raebert hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. A collision led to Atlético Micaelense getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Fábio Rangel hit a great ball. Aldaír Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Calvino in the 74th minute of play. Reynaldo Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Moutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Reconquistense FC's Justino Naelio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldaír Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reconquistense FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jonas Lucado in the 87th minute. Jonas Lucado made a great header on Reconquistense FC's corner, it was just that Atlético Micaelense's Aldaír Carneiro managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio Madureira in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Argi saved Reconquistense FC from getting behind. Ladislao Neron hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 95 played minutes Atlético Micaelense got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Barbosa. When the final whistle sounded Reconquistense FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético Micaelense.
