The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Eugeniusz Kasperowicz fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Zarzyk's protests and gave Eugeniusz Kasperowicz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Meadow Village booed when FC Zarzyk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugeniusz Kasperowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Eric Lindblom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radomil Smolarek was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Radomil Smolarek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Lindblom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Radomil Smolarek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Lindblom in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Meadow Village were awarded a corner. Rasmus Sigfridsson went to the cornerflag to take it. 23 minutes into the game, Meadow Village's Stellan Lundström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Radomil Smolarek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 26th match minute, FC Zarzyk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wlodzimierz Chlebek to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Sven-Ove Petersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Zarzyk's Dariusz Hryc managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Staffan Deckbergh in the 30 minute of the game. Rasmus Sigfridsson's late challenge caught a FC Zarzyk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rasmus Sigfridsson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Meadow Village getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Kenny Axelsson hit a great ball. Eric Lindblom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Radomil Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dariusz Hryc to make the kick off. Radomil Smolarek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Lindblom in the 51st minute of the match. In the 51st minute, Eric Lindblom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radomil Smolarek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Meadow Village's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rasmus Sigfridsson in the 55th minute. A nice corner shot did that Rasmus Sigfridsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Radomil Smolarek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jerry Stenqvist's late challenge caught a FC Zarzyk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerry Stenqvist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th match minute, Meadow Village was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Stenqvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Meadow Village's Eric Lindblom dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Otto Hermanssons short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Radomil Smolarek to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Otto Hermansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Radomil Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Lindblom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Meadow Village booed when FC Zarzyk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wlodzimierz Chlebek didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Otto Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Lindblom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Radomil Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Meadow Village's Otto Hermansson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radomil Smolarek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Benedykt Zielinski put in a rough tackle. 86 minutes into the game, one of FC Zarzyk:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 90th minute of the match Meadow Village got a corner. FC Zarzyk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rasmus Sigfridsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Meadow Village's Rasmus Sigfridsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Radomil Smolarek despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Stellan Lundström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Radomil Smolarek skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eric Lindblom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Radomil Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Meadow Village were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC Zarzyk's much stronger midfield.
