Carlitos Garzon took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casimiro Iago. Casimiro Iago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Isidoro Baumar lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Ruben Bernat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Prieto having to interfere. Feliberto Shantala hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. If Ruben Bernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Guanacos's Tiburcio Ado got a free kick in the 41st minute. When Feliberto Shantala fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guanacos's protests and gave Feliberto Shantala a yellow card for diving instead. Braulio Martínez's late challenge caught a Guanacos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braulio Martínez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vodka Stars 1949's Braulio Martínez got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Prometeo Perpiñán to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Vodka Stars 1949 defense, Feliberto Shantala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fidel Prieto. The Vodka Stars 1949 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fidel Prieto should have stopped the shot. Casimiro Iago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlitos Garzon in the 64th minute of play. A hard shot by Ramiro Ler from long distance, 69 minutes into the match, got Fidel Prieto's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Vodka Stars 1949 booed when Guanacos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliberto Shantala didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Guanacos getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ruben Bernat hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Ubarna Carro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Iago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guanacos's Nemesio Mederi got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Carlitos Garzon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Fidel Prieto came out of the goal and Ruben Bernat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 89 minutes, Bazil Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vodka Stars 1949 and the Guanacos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vodka Stars 1949's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
