Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cayetano Txomin started the match with the kick off. A collision led to KFC Uerdingen 05 getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Fatmir Zollt hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Deportivo Turro's goal looked a bit too open when Karsten Illgner came free, but Julian Lauren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Lauren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Hussen in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Andrau in the 10th minute of play forced Deportivo Turro's goalkeeper Julian Lauren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Lauren came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Uerdingen 05's Sandro Schätzle. But to his dismay, Sandro Schätzle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 14th minute Ratko Leibold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Lauren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Manfred Andrau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Julian Lauren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 20 played minutes Deportivo Turro got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Hats. In the 24th match minute, KFC Uerdingen 05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosius Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. When Manfred Andrau came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the KFC Uerdingen 05 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfred Andrau couldn't finish the play. Julian Lauren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karsten Illgner in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Deportivo Turro's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Andrau came free, but Julian Lauren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, KFC Uerdingen 05's Nicolas Anelka seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nicolas Anelka the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of KFC Uerdingen 05 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nicolas Anelka had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Melchor Geofredo charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melchor Geofredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of KFC Uerdingen 05 booed when Deportivo Turro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Geofredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Deportivo Turro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KFC Uerdingen 05 were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karsten Illgner was the one to do the kick off. Julian Lauren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karsten Illgner's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. KFC Uerdingen 05's Radenko Mayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Txomin in the 59th minute of play. Sandro Schätzle took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julian Lauren. Julian Lauren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Karsten Illgner's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Julian Lauren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Karsten Illgner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Julian Lauren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Guido Gorri fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Turro's protests and gave Guido Gorri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, KFC Uerdingen 05's Gerlach Rogatty ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julian Lauren. Julian Lauren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Sandro Schätzle received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julian Lauren came out and tried to block the shot, but Sandro Schätzle slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 80th minute. Julian Lauren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Andrau in the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of KFC Uerdingen 05 booed when Deportivo Turro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Ortzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. KFC Uerdingen 05's Gregor Reinauer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Deportivo Turro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karsten Illgner in the 92nd minute of play forced Deportivo Turro's goalkeeper Julian Lauren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karsten Illgner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Julian Lauren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karsten Illgner in the 99th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julian Lauren saved Deportivo Turro from getting behind. KFC Uerdingen 05's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
