After a rather tough play, Cougars FC's Ramon Rufo got a free kick in the 9th minute. PHOENIX SC's Bagol Kalla got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bagol Kalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Aimar scored 1-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Markus Sirait, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabio Artal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Markus Sirait read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. The Cougars FC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Cougars FC's Lorenzo Aimar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 40th match minute, PHOENIX SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Manusama to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cougars FC's Gualterio Pio got a free kick in the 41st minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Ishaq Afiff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PHOENIX SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ishaq Afiff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 played minutes Cougars FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Belarmo. PHOENIX SC's Markus Sirait played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Aimar in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

PHOENIX SC made a substitution. Deden Amiruddin replaced Asep Ridholhaqqi. The wind increased when Lorenzo Aimar made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Lorenzo Aimar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Markus Sirait was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Cougars FC's Gualterio Pio got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lorenzo Aimars short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Markus Sirait to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fernando Abarca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deden Amiruddin in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, Cougars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Lalla to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Markus Sirait managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Cougars FC's Lorenzo Aimar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Deden Amiruddin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Markus Sirait, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 88 minutes of play, PHOENIX SC's Deden Amiruddin made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Abarca was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute, Lorenzo Aimar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 97 played minutes Cougars FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Artal.
