Lorenzo Aimar struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Dalmo Félix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cougars FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Fabio Artal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cougars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Artal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Unidade Pinto Louco's Fernando Abarca threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jano de Toledo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Fabio Artal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unidade Pinto Louco's Dalmo Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Aimar in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Jano de Toledo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cougars FC's Fernando Abarca. Fernando Abarca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Pascual Ubendu fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cougars FC's protests and gave Pascual Ubendu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Unidade Pinto Louco booed when Cougars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Ubendu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes, Unidade Pinto Louco's Acácio Domingues shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fernando Abarca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unidade Pinto Louco reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Jano de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unidade Pinto Louco's supporters rose to their feet, but Jano de Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Abarca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dalmo Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Aimar in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jano de Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Jano de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Abarca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Oscar Lalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cougars FC's Fernando Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano de Toledo in the 66th minute of play. Dalmo Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Aimar in the 67th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Lorenzo Aimar made a precise shot to the right of Dalmo Félix. Unidade Pinto Louco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Lorenzo Aimar had several of the Unidade Pinto Louco's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Dalmo Félix as he didn't even see the shot coming. Lorenzo Aimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes Unidade Pinto Louco got a freekick which was hit by Jano de Toledo. The Unidade Pinto Louco supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cougars FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cougars FC.
