Ramiro Umbruso started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramiro Umbruso in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rio Percy's Ramiro Umbruso in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santos City's goalie prevented a goal. Aureliano Vimaro hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santos City's zone, Ramiro Umbruso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Barbosa came out of the goal and Ramiro Umbruso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arlindo Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Aureliano Vimaro hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Gerardo Rius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Rio Percy getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Maximino Laurentzi hit a great ball. Gerardo Rius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Sergipano in the 26th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Ramiro Umbruso notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Santos City's Pedro Barbosa. Pedro Barbosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antônio Sergipano struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Gerardo Rius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos City. In the 44th minute, Ramiro Umbruso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Barbosa. The goal made the score 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chu Cha got free with Pedro Barbosa in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antônio Sergipano to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Antônio Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Sergipano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Aureliano Vimaro had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arlindo Montenegro during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rio Percy booed when Santos City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlindo Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chu Cha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Chu Cha made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Barbosa. Santos City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 68th minute Chu Cha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Laurentzi made a great header on Rio Percy's corner, it was just that Santos City's Pedro Barbosa managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 79th minute, Chu Cha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rio Percy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
