The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Afonso Penha notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of The Beatles AC's Donato Aballe. Donato Aballe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Júlio Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Oiteiras's Edu Prado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donato Aballe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 10 played minutes The Beatles AC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Herauso. The Beatles AC's Donato Aballe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João de Carvalho in the 12th minute of play. After 13 minutes of play, Oiteiras's Afonso Penha made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Aballe was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers João de Carvalho in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Aballe saved The Beatles AC from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Natanael Barral notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of The Beatles AC's Donato Aballe. Donato Aballe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, João de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oiteiras's supporters rose to their feet, but João de Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Aballe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duda Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, João de Carvalho put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Donato Aballe. Duda Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Jânio de Castro hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Donato Aballe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João de Carvalho in the 45th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes The Beatles AC got a freekick which was hit by Damian Oriol. In the 47thth minute of the game João de Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Beatles AC's Donato Aballe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edu Prado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Aballe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

Thanks to some nice moves Nando Oliveira could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Donato Aballe however easily saved by the left post. After 61 played minutes The Beatles AC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Herauso. Oiteiras made a substitution. Ernani Saldanha replaced Edu Prado. Daniel Herauso hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. João de Carvalho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Donato Aballe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ernani Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nando Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Oiteiras's Afonso Penha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donato Aballe. That made the score 0-8 after 79 minutes of play. In the 82nd minute João de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Aballe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by João de Carvalho in the 86th minute of play forced The Beatles AC's goalkeeper Donato Aballe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Aballe came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Oiteiras's Afonso Penha. But to his dismay, Afonso Penha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. 91 minutes into the match, The Beatles AC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Penha came free, but Donato Aballe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Aballe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nando Oliveira in the 95th minute. Oiteiras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
