The goal made the score 3-0. When Rex Schultz fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boroondara Milan's protests and gave Rex Schultz a yellow card for diving instead. Rex Schultz kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Kenneth Maciver made the kick off in the second half. Rick Theisens hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Jesse Angell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Revenge. Revenge's Gijs ter Averst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Revenge from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute, Kenneth Maciver fired a really elegant long shot, but Gijs ter Averst threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Kenneth Maciver came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gijs ter Averst could save by the left post. The supporters of Boroondara Milan booed when Revenge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerjan Scheerhoorn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, George Hollingworth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rick Theisens in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesse Angell saved Boroondara Milan from getting behind. 82 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Serge Spiljard came free, but Jesse Angell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijs ter Averst was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Kenneth Maciver capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kenneth Maciver really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1.
