The audience was convinced that Basarab Arotăriței's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto de Salles was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Basarab Arotăriței managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Berea's supporters rose to their feet, but Basarab Arotăriței was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bebeto de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dacian Iurea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademir Guia, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Bebeto de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berea Luca in the 22nd minute of the match. When Horea Panaitoiu came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the FC Berea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horea Panaitoiu couldn't finish the play. Dacian Iurea made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Gilvan Pombal sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute, Ademir Guia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The União Verde FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 37th match minute, União Verde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Damião to maneuver through the defense. Horea Panaitoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of União Verde FC booed when FC Berea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Dărmănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Berea Matei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Vladimir Motta in the 46th minute really tested Dacian Iurea's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 46 minutes into the game, Moise Boacă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Berea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave União Verde FC the free kick. Moise Boacă hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Basarab Arotăriței to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Basarab Arotăriței shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Berea's Liviu Mihaiu was substituted for Gigi Ardeleanu. FC Berea's Basarab Arotăriței was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Bebeto de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berea Luca in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Eric Dărmănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 80 played minutes, União Verde FC's Vladimir Motta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dacian Iurea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in União Verde FC reached it. Martin Coraș kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Bebeto de Salles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bebeto de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Arotăriței, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Berea's Basarab Arotăriței got a free kick in the 97th minute.
