Hamílton Campidelis's late challenge caught a ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamílton Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. Luis Molina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Xorxe Soldado got control of the ball when João Paulo Chaves tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Wambalamba FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Zézinho Rosado hit a great ball. When Carlos Eduardo Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wambalamba FC's protests and gave Carlos Eduardo Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. After 17 minutes of play Wambalamba FC's Carlos Eduardo Tinoco was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 30th minute João Paulo Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xorxe Soldado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinei Goiano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Xorxe Soldado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 35th match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Chaves to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Wambalamba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frodo Alabern came free, but João Pedro dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Estefan Hernandez. When Dinei Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Wambalamba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinei Goiano couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mané Aguado made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Estefan Hernandez to maneuver through the defense. In the 58thth minute of the game Dinei Goiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Xorxe Soldado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Saturnin Alabern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro dos Santos having to interfere. Luis Molina took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Pedro dos Santos. João Pedro dos Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 66th match minute, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carles Astudillo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Carioca in the 67th minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Xorxe Soldado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xorxe Soldado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Goiano in the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, João Paulo Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wambalamba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Paulo Chaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xorxe Soldado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Wambalamba FC defense, Frodo Alabern kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Pedro dos Santos. The Wambalamba FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Pedro dos Santos should have stopped the shot. If Noel Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wambalamba FC's João Pedro dos Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Wambalamba FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Wambalamba FC's João Pedro dos Santos got control of the ball when Rafa Llorca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hanni Rico hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 89 played minutes Wambalamba FC got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Campidelis. After a rather tough play, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Rafa Llorca got a free kick in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
