In the 8th match minute, Chelco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Gartzi to maneuver through the defense. Jairo Urtzi lost his temper 9 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chelco FC! The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 11th minute, where Cementerio Club:s Exequiel Palacios tricked Chelco FC:s Emilian Martínez with a difficult ball by the left post. 19 minutes into the game, Fidel Rico cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Emilian Martínez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicanor Araoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Martínez having to interfere. If Nicanor Araoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilian Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Elodio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the game, Cementerio Club's Fidel Rico nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emilian Martínez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicanor Araoz got free with Emilian Martínez in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fidel Rico to strike the kick off in the second half. Emilian Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Elodio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bonifacio Elodio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Emilian Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Chelco FC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Gartzi. Emilian Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Maureo in the 62nd minute of play. Chelco FC's Emilian Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Rico in the 65th minute of play. Emilian Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Rico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 69 minutes, Nicanor Araoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cementerio Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Araoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 70 played minutes Chelco FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Rosario. The supporters of Cementerio Club booed when Chelco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Elija didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Cementerio Club fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Cementerio Club's Fidel Rico looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emilian Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Araoz in the 76th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bonifacio Elodio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilian Martínez was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Abilio during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cementerio Club booed when Chelco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Abilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Araoz in the 88th minute of play forced Chelco FC's goalkeeper Emilian Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cementerio Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
